It’s that time of year again when you’re thinking about camping holidays gone by and planning the next great adventure. With camping now more popular than ever, National Camping and Caravanning Week 2008, ( about to enter its eighth year), will offer anyone who loves hitching, pitching or driving, more opportunities, information and competitions than ever before.
Regardless of how or where you enjoy camping; in a tent, caravan, motorhome either at a camp site or in your back garden, you’ll know it’s one of the best ways of enjoying the great outdoors and getting closer to nature.
The UK is bristling with biodiversity, from creepy crawlies to the warbling Song Thrush. Camp sites in particular provide green and open spaces in which many wonderful creatures make their homes. NCCW08 looks set to not only celebrate camping but also take a closer look at who, or what, you could be camping next to…
NCCW08 also hopes to break a record for the most people camping on a single night. THE audit will take place on Saturday 24 May. If you’re camping and want to be part of something huge all you’ll need to do is ring us with the details of how many people camped and we’ll do the rest – more details to be posted here soon.
For first time campers or experienced hands there are plenty of reasons to join in the fun of NCCW08. We’ll be constantly updating the website with competitions, offers and information. Find out what wildlife is on a camp site near you as well as the events taking place which could interest you.
